sad news

mum smells of other dogs

the second dog was flash, mum says flash is very funny, and that they went and sat up the field with him and he ran around and around on his flexie lead, and mum had to keep ducking so his lead could go over her head, she says he was fasinated by all the smells and very alert, flash cant be let off the lead like me and my brothers, because he goes off after the foxes and it can take a very long time to get him to come back, he doesnt mean to be naughty his hunting instincts just take over. this is flash.
mum has known auntie sammy since they were both 3 years old, i love auntie sammy as she always brings me lots of treats, but she is very clever, and hard to trick because when i pretend to be coming for cuddles and try to sneak my nose into her pocket for the treats she keeps their she always knows what i am up to and makes me wait. I wouldnt mind waiting if she gave them all to me, but she shares them between me and my brothers and that sucks.
this is aunty sammy.

a lovely poem written by a woman about her little dog who has past away

PIPPA MY JACK RUSSELL (1 April 1994 to 17 May 2008)
Pippa, a little dog, who is white with black and brown
Used to live upon a farm but now she stays in town
She grew up with the children and loved them both for sure
But now that they have left the home she is a little more mature
When she was a puppy – all those years ago
The days were long and sunny and all she did was grow
Now that she is older, not very much has changed
The garden has got smaller and a little rearranged
Her love has been a ball – of any size or form
As long as she could chase it – to her that was the norm
I remember how I took her to the Duzi river every day
Would hit the ball with all my might and look at her and say
“Go fetch your ball you little thing, run fetch it if you can”
Off she would run without a look at animal or man
Her sight was always perfect her smell was never wrong
With no deviation from the path she would run along
Before you could stop smiling or move two extra paces
The ball would be returned to you – it could have been the races!
When the heat became too much and the sun began to burn her
I would lob the ball up high and far - so that it landed in the river
Without a single thought of where she was going to land
She would run towards the jetty and leap across the sand
Her body stretched out like a spring – that was pulled too taut
Into the river she would jump after the ball we’d brought
I would hasten to the side, it was too steep, you see
For her to climb out on her own, I went down on my knee
Lifting her out by the scruff of her neck appeared a little cruel
But she never seemed to mind the pain, she was so very cool
As time passed by it became not safe to take her there alone
And so the ritual had to change – we had to stay at home
I bought an enamel baby bath and placed it on the grass
This became her swimming pool and in it she would bask
The game it changed from this time on and I was getting older
So I would sit upon a chair and have to lean on over
To take the ball that she would place inside my outstretched hand
And throw it against the wall where nearby she would stand
With her advancing years she would still begin to quiver
As the ball would strike the wall and rebound back to the giver
As fast as she was able she would pounce on it for sure
Then do a victory lap or two and return it for some more
Eventually when breath was short and she began to weary
Inside the pool she would jump – her head then she would bury
With ball in mouth and nose below the water I would hear
How bubbles broke the surface – I was that very near
When I got tired of throwing and ignored her for a while
She’d place the ball beside my feet and inch back and retire
Her eyes would stay alert for any movement that I made
And so she’d wait – anticipate – her interest didn’t fade
At this time she is all seventy-seven dog years old
Her sight is growing dimmer and she shivers with the cold
My prayer is that in heaven when she is called to rest
She will have a ball beside her – to do what she does best.

jack russell through and through

Show me a Doberman,
I'll cut him to size.
I'll tear him to pieces
In front of your eyes.
I'm cocksure and bossy
The King of the Patch
Bring on your Alsations,
It won't be a match.
I'm a dirty street fighter,
My language is foul.
I'll fight to the death,
Never throw in the towel.
Don't step near my missus,
Don't push me too far,
Get right off my pavement
Take your hands off my car.
And when she's alone,
I'll sit on her knee,
She'll know she's quite safe,
Relying on me.
Don't walk by my lorry,
When I'm at a show.When I'm guarding my ponies,
I'm lethal to know.
I'll follow a fox
To the depths of his lair,
But I like creature comforts...Get out of my chair!
I won't walk or heel
Or sit when I'm told,
But I'm loving, protective,
Brave, loyal, and bold.
My life's full of moments,
Importance and bustle.
I know I'm the greatest...
I'm called a JACK RUSSELL!

Rspca and cat protections put down policys a disgrace
She has tried both the RSPCA and Cat protection and been told by both that they were fall and the cats would have to be put to sleep.
There are 8 cats, two of which are only 8 months old, they are not unhealthy and have not done anything to warrant a death warrant so how can this be right.
Thankfully my aunty sammy, said she would take the cats and hold them for the lady till she found a new place having been evicted from her home. So these kittys will be saved, but how many other kittys and doggys die because of the RSPCA and Cats protection league unnessisaryily. My mummy will not support either charity in any context, and only supports kennels and cataries that have a no death policy, such as the dogs trust. giving your dog to the RSPCA could result in it being put to sleep so dont, go to the dogs trust or other kennels that refuse to put healthy dogs down, and save lives, instead of donating to the RSPCA and Cat protection league who willing destroy lives.
Us dogs didnt choose to be born people breeding us irrisponsibly and people not training and taking care of us properly resulted in us becoming the way we sometimes end up we need good people to help us become better pooches, not bad people who claime to be nice ending our lives just because of lack of space.

my car trip.
anyway it was my turn last night, and we drove in to Bude, I always get a bit nervouse when we head towards Bude, because that's where the vets is, well stratton, which is just past Bude, and I always worry they are taking me for a sneaky checkup so i was very relieved when we pulled off at the turning to Bude instead of carrying on to stratton especially as mum and dad keep discussing having me spayed , which i am really not looking forward too.
Well when we got to Bude dad pulled into the esso garage and got some petrol, he also had to get a few things mum forgot to buy when she did the online weekly shop. She's good at forgetting stuff.
while we were waiting for dad I watched lots of people coming and going and i got excited everytime someone looked like they were heading my way, because i love people and am always game for a stroke, but although people smiled, no one came to say hello which made me sad. But the window was up so i guess people didnt really think about it, I must tell mum to open the window next time.
well after the garage dad headed for the beach at widmouthbay, and when we got there i was so excited and so was mum, but then we saw a big sign that said no dogs, I was so dissapointed and the sign hadnt been there a few weeks before, mum says its because of the summer season, and said some people dont like dogs and like to go to beaches where dogs arent allowed. She says that because some people dont clean up after their dogs it spoils the fun for everyone, but she promised we would go back when the holiday makers had all gone home because dogs would be alowed on the beach again then.
mum did try dropping hints to dad about other beaches that might still allow dogs but dad pretended he didnt get the hints, but i saw him roll his eyes so i know he did and just didnt want to drive back into bude.
But they stopped in the carpark for a while and let me stick my head out the window, and watch the sea, and the people walking on the beach, I loved it and had my front paws on the window with my head right out.
some people came real close to the car, but no one stopped to stroke me, then a man came along with a little brown terrier who looked like fun, and he went down on the beach despite the signs. Mum said some people were set in there ways and refused to pay attention to the signs and that she didnt blame them, but she didnt get out the car, because she said knowing her luck if she ignored the signs someone would come along and she'd get in trouble.
because i was watching the other dogs so longingly mum and dad decided to move on and we moved up to this huge layby that looks out over the sea, and widemouth bay all the way across to bude, and on a clear day even to the saterlite dishes, again i was allowed to stick my head out the window and i watched these people in a campervan moving around with candles. It was very pretty and quite dark at that point.
I was standing on mums leg at one point turning around and around trying to look at everything and i misjudged it slightly and nearly fell, but i jumped at the last minute onto dads lap, he was making a rollie at the time and i knocked the backie all over him, mum thought it was hilarious.
when we got home i jumped all over hooch and harley and told them about my trip, harley was a bit grumpy because he didnt get to go, but he had his turn the day before, so i didnt feel guilty, and i just ran round him in circles barking, he snapped at me but i was to quick for him and just run outside chasing hooch, who as usual was completely oblivious to everything but his need to pee, we had only been gone just over and hour, but he is always the same, as soon as they come home he wants to pee.
It was a good drive and i look forward to the next one.
I think I'm cute do you?

and hooch check him out here.

They brought me home in april of this year, after looking very hard for the right dog, to join the family.
I will be with them for the rest of my life so they had to make sure they found the right dog to fit with their other animals, and i do fit very well.
